The members of Monsters of Folk are an eclectic mix of musicians belonging to some relatively well-known bands; there's Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, and M. Ward of She & Him. This project originally formed in 2004, but their first album The Monsters of Folk is to be released September the twenty-second.
